Fan Zhuzhai (1869-1949) was born in Tianjin. The famous gauze merchant is one of the "eight famous gauze manufacturers" in Tianjin. In 1897, Ren Jingde and mianshazhuang were in charge of Shanghai, and later promoted to manager. In 1932, he became the fifth accounting manager of the Oriental Bank. At the same time, he invested in the real estate industry, purchased land near Lishan street and Drum Tower in Tianjin French concession, and built houses in zhuyuanli, daanli, Daqing Li, etc. The building covers an area of about 1800 square meters, with a construction area of about 3500 square meters. It is a two-story flat top building (with basement) with mixed structure, three floors in some parts and mixed water wall. The plan of the building is enclosed. The two floors of the first floor are equipped with veranda, of which the first floor is an arched open corridor. There is a beautiful round corner Pavilion on the top. The building has a strong sense of enclosure, forming a spacious internal courtyard. There are many windows on the eaves of the building, and the windows are decorated with simplified Western columns and Aquarius, with straight lines and rich facades. The building has typical eclecticism architectural features.
