The second worker's Cultural Palace of Tianjin (hereinafter referred to as the second Palace) was built in 1952. It is located between Guanghua Road, Jintang road and Dongxing Road in Hedong District, adjacent to Dazhigu and Zhongshan Gate light rail station. It is in the forefront of the city center connecting Binhai New Area. It is an important road from the urban area to Binhai New Area, with nearly 40 bus stops. Covering an area of 24.1 hectares, it is the largest comprehensive garden style workers' Cultural Palace, which performs the dual public welfare functions of workers' Cultural Palace and park. With the rapid development of Binhai New Area, it has become the central area of the city.

Development history

The second worker's Cultural Palace of Tianjin (hereinafter referred to as the second Palace) was built in 1952. It is located between Guanghua Road, Jintang road and Dongxing Road in Hedong District, adjacent to Dazhigu and Zhongshan Gate light rail station. It is in the forefront of the city center connecting Binhai New Area. It is an important road from the urban area to Binhai New Area, with nearly 40 bus stops. The second palace was opened free of charge on July 7, 2009

In the newly renovated second Palace Park, broad flower beds were built on both sides and in the center of the front square, which were filled with various kinds of flowers. In the past, the muddy Lishui lake has become clear and transparent. Steps have been built on the lakeshore, and the Jingong gymnasium and Jingong tennis hall have been painted new. After re integration, the functional areas are re divided into theme square, urban green space, leisure and entertainment area, children's activity area, fitness activity area and water area. The cruise ship wharf is rebuilt. The north and south sides are arranged into a large area of ecological green landscape, and the activity area is concentrated in the middle.

The new "model worker garden" covers an area of 1150 square meters, which was moved from the former square to the lake in the east of the picturesque theater. After the completion of the soil piling and raising project of the second palace Hongye island and Taohua Island, a large number of Ailanthus altissima seedlings were planted on Hongye island. In the future, citizens can enjoy the beautiful red leaves without going to Xiangshan in Beijing, and the memories of boating on the second palace lake will become a reality again.

The renovation is the second major overhaul of the second Palace Theater in 56 years. In line with the principle of repairing the old as before, the original architectural features of the theater continue to be preserved. The theater stage has also been repackaged to highlight the visual effect of depth. Three rows of tea table seats are added to the auditorium, and the audience can press the switch at any time according to their needs to change the seat back into a tea table.
