Pangam Park

Pengjiamu Memorial Park is located at the lakeside of the original Shijing River Wharf in Chalong village, covering an area of more than 40000 square meters, including about 10000 square meters of water area. A 3.5-meter-high bronze statue of Pengjiamu will stand on a 2.5-meter-high and 2-meter-wide granite platform in the central square of the park.

Life of the characters

Peng Jiamu, formerly known as Peng Jiamu, was born in Nanhai County, Guangdong Province in 1925. He was a researcher of Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and vice president of Xinjiang branch, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was mainly engaged in the research of enzymes, proteins, animal and plant viruses, and devoted a lot of efforts to the development of Science in remote areas of China. In May 1980, he led a scientific investigation team into Lop Nur to conduct a comprehensive investigation of natural resources, and died on June 17. Based on the research and investigation of Peng Jiamu and others, Lop Nur is being built into the largest potash fertilizer production base in China.

In order to commemorate Mr. Peng Jiamu and many historical celebrities and educate the younger generation to work hard, Chalong village committee decided to raise more than 3 million yuan to build "Pengjiamu Park". Pengjiamu park also has a memorial hall for Peng Jiamu, the martyr of Guangzhou Uprising Lin Chengyou, and the famous Guangzhou drama artist Zhang YueKai.

Main landscape

The memorial hall behind the bronze statue will display the life stories of Peng Jiamu and other Chalong celebrities. On both sides of the central square, there are more than 400 square meters of open-air stage and more than 2000 square meters of Cultural Square. The whole park is not only a good base for young people's science and culture, ideal education and traditional education, but also a good place for people's sports and entertainment.
