Cangtou River scenic spot belongs to plateau wetland, with natural water system, Riverside grassland, arbor and shrub forest belt and gentle slope farmland, forming a unique pastoral landscape of the Loess Plateau in the north. Chickens, rabbits, partridges, roe deer, yellow sheep, foxes and badgers in the scenic spot move in time and out of time.

Cangtou River scenic spot is the core scenic spot of ecological tourism development project in Youyu county. The planning area of the scenic spot starts from the grassland of changmenpu reservoir in the south, ends at haiziwan in the north, and takes caijiatun to WeiJiabao as the central scenic spot. The natural water system, riparian grassland, shrubbery and arbor belt and farmland in gentle slope form the original foundation of natural ecology, which is also a rare pastoral landscape in the northern Loess Plateau.
