Guangzhou compulsory tree planting park is located at 190 Kaiyuan Avenue, Science City, Guangzhou Development Zone, near Guangzhou Institute of biomedicine and health. The park takes the form of one-time planning and phased construction, with a planning area of 89.73 hectares (1346 mu), and is planned to be constructed in three phases.

By mobilizing government officials and all walks of life to plant trees and recognize their species, we will create enterprise forest, public servant forest, red scarf forest, women's forest, Tongxin forest and family forest, supplemented by appropriate leisure attractions, and build it into a compulsory tree planting memorial park integrating science popularization, education and landscape demonstration. The whole park is high in the north and low in the south, close to mountains and rivers, with superior natural conditions. The planning is divided into two parts: landscape tree planting area and leisure area. After the completion of the park, it will be open to the public free of charge, providing the citizens with the experience of forest culture and leisure, and becoming the "urban forest oxygen bar". The first phase (2005) covers an area of 250 mu, including entrance square, main view ornamental tree planting area, 60000 square meters artificial lake and ornamental tree planting area, with more than 6000 trees planted and 19 varieties planted, including Ficus microcarpa, mahogany, Huanghuai, Lagerstroemia indica, Koelreuteria paniculata, Fenghuang, Qiufeng, hongqianceng, Cinnamomum camphora, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, willow, etc.
