The museum is arranged and displayed according to the original layout of the front hall and back building of Pinghe Daya. The front hall focuses on the restoration of scenes and historical features, supplemented by an introduction to the history of Chinese pawn, the history of the construction of JUNHE market, and the people and events of Pinghe Daya. The back floor is restored to 2-6 floors of attic, and the first floor displays the miniature landscape of representative historical buildings in Baiyun District. Through scene restoration, physical display, combination of graphics and text, and with the help of high-tech means such as sound, light and electricity, the historical culture of Pinghe Daya and Baiyun District is displayed.

Yu Shixi, deputy secretary of the district Party committee, congratulated the opening of the district folk culture museum. Development history

On the morning of June 29, the ancient gate of Pinghe Daya was filled with gongs and drums, and the lion danced. As the gate of Pinghe Daya slowly opened, it was built in 1928. After renovation, Pinghe Daya officially opened as Baiyun district folk culture museum. Ren Tianhua, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of culture, radio, film and television, Pang Wenhong, Yu Shixi, Fang Wuxiang, Liu Sicheng, Xie Suqi and Liu Jiansheng, leaders of the District, and leaders of relevant units of the district attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

It is reported that Pinghe Daya, a municipal cultural relic protection unit, which is a landmark of JUNHE market, is the most complete and largest old pawnshop found in Guangdong Province. The shingles on the four slopes above the pawnshop are unique to similar buildings in China. In 2003, it was discovered during the fourth general survey of cultural relics in Guangzhou, and the mystery has been revealed ever since. In 2011, Baiyun District invested nearly 10 million yuan to repair and protect Pinghe Daya, and established it as Baiyun district folk culture museum.
