Shengqing Temple

Shengqing temple is located in Dehua village at the foot of Fenghuang mountain, Baima Township, west of Pingyi County. It was built in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, and has been more than 100 years.

During the cultural revolution, Shengqing temple was listed as "four old" and abandoned. Now Liu Deshan, a good man, has invested in and presided over the project to rebuild the temple in two phases. The first phase was started on August 8, 2011, and the project has been completed.

There are 16 halls in Shengqing temple, including more than 20 statues such as Queen's mother's hall, Empress's hall, Guan Gong's hall, divine doctor's hall, Yuelao's hall and Guanyin's hall.

Appearance of Shengqing Temple

Shengqing temple is located on Fenghuang Mountain in Dehua village, Baima Township, Pingyi County. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The clear water circulates around the mountain, and the people are outstanding under the blue sky and white clouds. When the hot summer comes, the wind and water here will be cool, which is a good place for summer.

In Dehua village at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in the Western Changshan area of Pingyi County, there was a temple of Shengqing temple in ancient times. It was built in the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty. It has been more than 100 years. At that time, the temple was majestic and magnificent in appearance, full of fireworks and pilgrims. Some Taoists chanted scriptures and practiced Taoism, and helped all living beings. The temple was well-known for its aura.

The first phase was started on August 8, 2011. In addition, the neighboring villages have received investment from the people with lofty ideals, and the project has been completed. The temple has 16 halls, including Queen Mother, Taishan grandmother, sanhuanggu, Guan Gong, Huatuo, and five statues, followed by Guanyin, Huoshen, jade emperor and Sanqing.

The second phase of the project is under preparation. The temple is not to be observed, but to be respectful and sincere. The God is to call for the right way of life, to be self disciplined, to be virtuous, and to be blessed by the God. The God is to protect the people, and the people hate the God for committing crimes. The inscription on the stele will last forever.
