It is located in Jinping Mountain on the South Bank of Xijiang River in Wuzhou City, Guangxi. It was built in 1823. According to Ruan Yuan, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, "the clouds and mountains are steaming and the rivers are clear. If you get this high tower, you will be able to ascend. Wujiang Jishi has been thriving ever since. " It is called "Yunsheng tower". According to legend, Yunsheng tower is a pen thrown by LV Dongbin to save a pair of mandarin ducks.

Development history

Yunsheng pagoda, commonly known as Wenbi pagoda, is located on Jinping Mountain (volcano) on the South Bank of Xijiang River in Wuzhou City. It is called sister Pagoda with Bingwei pagoda on Tieding mountain in Cangwu. It was built in 1823. The pagoda is 7 stories high, about 36 meters long, hexagonal, 3.9 meters long on each side. The eaves of the pagoda are made of brick triangles and 4 arches, with Ruyi relief. The door of the tower is round, with three square windows and three round windows on each floor. An iron ladder leads directly to the top of the tower.

When the tower was completed, it was not named. Ruan Yuan, the governor of Guangdong and Guangdong provinces, paid a visit to the west of Guangdong Province. He wrote a poem for the tower: "Xiufa Wujiang River" on the first floor, "wenchenghua view" on the third floor, "light shooting bullfight" on the fifth floor. "The high mountain is steaming, and the river is clear. If you get this tower, you will be able to ascend, and Wujiang River will be prosperous from then on.". Taking its meaning, the tower was named "Yunsheng".

Wooden stairs are set on each floor of the tower, from the bottom to the top. On the forehead of the gate are plaques inscribed by Ruan Yuan, such as "Xiu FA Wu Jiang", "Guan Wen Cheng Hua", "Guang she Niu Dou". In 1982, the wooden staircase in Yunsheng tower was replaced by iron staircase, and a variety of lighting equipment and fire-fighting facilities were added.

The first floor and the front of the third to seventh floors are opened with top doors, the second floor is opened with rectangular and circular windows, and the other floors are staggered with five square windows. The top of the tower has six corners. Each floor of the tower is equipped with wooden floor and stairs. Ruan Yuan inscribed on the front of the door with "Xiufa Wujiang", "Guanwen Chenghua", "Guangshe Niudou" and other stone tablets. In 1982, it was repaired and changed from wooden stairs to iron stairs.
