Yangtian Lake scenic area is located in the central area of Qitianling mountain system in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. It generally refers to the scenic area with an area of about 40 square kilometers and a golden triangle distribution, which is composed of Yangtian Giant Buddha, Tianhu grassland and Anyuan stone forest. Yangtian lake is a plateau wetland left on the top of Nanling Mountain by the earth plate drift, compression and uplift. Its natural water area is more than 20 mu, and its sea level is 1350 meters. It is a bright pearl hanging beside the intersection of the Yangtze River, Pearl River and Beijing Zhuhai expressway.

He is also known as "a tear on the earth (the source of Beijiang River)". Within a radius of 15 kilometers from the center of Yangtian lake, it includes not only the Giant Buddha of Yangtian lake, which is the world's wonder on the plateau and the grassland wetland landscape nearest to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, but also the stone forest of Anyuan and Pingtou mountain stronghold, which is full of Cangsang and flowing clouds. It also includes the azalea of ten miles, the heavy field of fog sea, the high mountain view of the sun, the clear snow and cloud cultivation, the tongtiandong gorge and Dishui Dai waterfall, etc. In the course of the passage of time, it shows extraordinary characteristics at the right time.

About ten kilometers to the west of Yangtian lake, jinxianzhai is located on the top of a towering cliff. The stone cliff with a relative height difference of more than 300 meters has created a unique Chinese spectacle - "Giant Buddha in the sky". Several "ladder" along the ridge and down, respectively, connect the Gaoshan temple, Chaoshui temple, Donglin temple, Longtang temple, Jiewu hall, jinxianling, Zhaowang hall and other cultural landscape.
