Donggaoquan
Donggaoquan is located on the right side of the gate of wanzhuyuan (now Baotuquan Park). The spring pool is made of brick and stone in a square shape. It is about 2 meters in length and width and 1.5 meters in depth. Stone pool wall, East pool wall engraved with "donggaoquan" three characters. Its name causes the spring to leave the ground higher. Therefore, the spring is "100 feet high", so it is called "donggaoquan". As the ancient poem says: "the solitary spring hangs for a hundred feet, and a green spring flows in the clear autumn; do you forget to live in high danger, and the origin of evil and obscenity."
Donggao spring's exuberant spring water overflows along the pool all year round, forming a stream, rippling and winding around the house, which constantly replenishes fresh blood for the beautiful Wanzhu garden. With the further restoration and opening of wanzhuyuan, donggaoquan will greet visitors with a new attitude.
It was once listed as 72 Famous Springs in the Jin and Ming Dynasties.
