Mosuo's house is a lush hill from Naxi village. Close to Lugu Lake, there is a "wooden house" where Mosuo people live. This simple Sihe Village building built with logs is named "Mosuo's house".

Folk customs

Up to now, the matriarchal clan form and matriarchal family living habits are still preserved. This peculiar folk custom has attracted the attention of anthropologists all over the world, and added strange and mysterious color to Mosuo people. The house structure of Mosuo people is generally Siheyuan, which is made of logs. Mosuo people call it "Zilu Yukui", which means wooden house, also known as wooden house. In the middle of the main house is the old man's house, which is called "the old mother's house". The old grandmother is the most senior person in Mosuo family, who is in charge of the family's finance and decision-making power. Laozu's mother's room is a combination of bedroom, living room and kitchen. There are two important pillars in the room. The left pillar represents male, the right pillar represents female, and there is a Buddha platform on the right side of male pillar. Mosuo family call it "Si Tu", namely "Fang Xin Buddha". On the wall in the middle of the room, there is a god of fire sign, which symbolizes that the matrilineal family is as vigorous as fire and is the mascot of the family. There is also "pig fat meat" pickled by Mosuo people, also known as "Pipa meat". It is pickled by the whole pig, and can be put into one or two decades without deterioration. It is a specialty of Mosuo people's diet. "Mosuo house" is a place with beautiful scenery and full of mystery. The warm and hospitable Mosuo girls sing and dance, offer butter tea to the distinguished guests, and swing the "pig trough" boat for the tourists. A deep and meaningful "MadamI" is unforgettable for a long time.

Mosuo marriage customs

On the doorstep of Mosuo's family is a girl's boudoir, namely "Asha's room". The marriage of Mosuo people still maintains the "a Zhu" walking marriage system of "men don't marry, women don't marry". "Ah Zhu" is the meaning of a friend. The adult man and "ah Xia" understand each other through understanding. After the relationship between ah Zhu is established, the man goes to ah Xia's room to get married every night and returns to his home the next morning. The children they give birth to together are raised by their uncle.

Tibetan Buddhism

Mosuo people believe in Tibetan Buddhism, or Lamaism. The east facing building is generally a sutra hall building, with exquisite interior layout, Buddha light, wheel and crisp wine lamp, which makes people in a mysterious religious atmosphere.
