Laojun Pavilion

Laojun Pavilion is located at the top of the first peak of Qingcheng (Pengzu peak, or Gaotai mountain, Laoxiao peak, Baoding), with an altitude of 1260 meters.

building structure

The base of Laojun Pavilion is 400 square meters wide and has six floors. The lower part is round, which means that the sky is round and the place is round; the layer has octagons to show the eight trigrams; the appearance is tower shaped, which is connected with three round treasures to show the three talents of heaven, earth and human beings.

Laojunge building complex includes Donghua hall, etc. One hundred square meters of Donghua hall, five rooms long, is dedicated to the emperor of Donghua, and the left and right niches are dedicated to Lvchun Yuanming palace, Yang and zhongliquan. Laojun pavilion was built in the autumn of 1992. It took three years to complete. It is a holy land of eight hundred Li green city, creating another magnificent spectacle.

Main attractions

The statue of laojunge is based on Xu Beihong's work Ziqi Donglai (the picture of Laozi crossing qingniu pass) in Qingcheng. It has been studied by many scholars, artists and connoisseurs, and has been drawn and shaped by Daoyou in Qingcheng Mountain.

The statue of Lao Jun is 13.6 meters high, and the ox is 16 meters high. According to the code of classical architecture, it is cast with reinforced concrete and wrapped in fine copper. It is dazzling and lifelike. Since ancient times and today! It is a unique and glorious statue of Laozi as an ancient thinker, philosopher and ancient simple materialist dialectic relativist. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in the May 12, 2008 earthquake.
