Bingjiu park is located in Lama mountain scenic spot 28 kilometers north of Fengning County, Hebei Province, 208 kilometers away from Beijing. It is the only way to the first grassland in North Beijing. The main peak of Lama mountain is 1198 meters above sea level, with a group of glaciers and molars like "Tianguo". In addition, there are also cliff Zen caves, Anma stone carvings, Lama Buddha, shenqishi, fengshangta, dieluoyan, jiunvfeng, donglongshan and other fantastic rocks created by nature, forming a 15 kilometer long landscape gallery.

Glacial mortar is one of the strong evidences for the existence of ancient glaciers. It is also an extremely important historical witness of the changes of paleoclimate and paleoenvironment. It has been found in Huangshan, Lushan, Tibet, Germany, Poland and other places in China. But they are all distributed in glaciers, U-shaped valleys and ice beds, while the molars in fozhudong area are distributed in ridges, peaks and foothills, so they are rare at home and abroad.

The discovery of the glacial mortar group in Lama mountain proves that during the early Quaternary period, 2 million years ago, a large-scale glacial movement did take place in the eastern mountainous area of China. The glaciers belong to the inland type ice sheet with the thickness of more than 1000-2000 meters. At the same time, it is confirmed that there was a huge and amazing cooling event in the world in the early Quaternary, which provides an important practical basis for the analysis and prediction of paleoclimate, paleoenvironmental change, human origin and current climate evolution trend in this region and the world, as well as for the discovery and search of moraine type placer gold deposits in the large ice sheet. Therefore, the discovery of the glacial mortar group is of great scientific value and academic significance.
