In 1992, the municipal government invested 5 million yuan to rebuild part of the original Yaojiang nursery, covering a total area of 9.2 hectares. The park uses the original nursery trees, mainly plant landscaping, with entrance square, Baihua Mountain, big lawn, riverside and other scenic spots. It has introduced bumper cars, colored Bullet Shooting Center, water yacht, water world, torrent Yongjin, space city and other amusement projects, which have been demolished since 2004. In 2005, on the basis of the facilities in the world, a swimming and entertainment center was built for tourists to spend the summer. The environment of the park is clean and beautiful. Since 1993, the park has held many large-scale garden activities, such as flower arrangement exhibition, Camellia exhibition, Dutch tulip exhibition, golden autumn chrysanthemum exhibition, Sichuan Zigong lamp exhibition, ice sculpture art exhibition, etc., which have enriched the leisure life of the general public. With the transformation of the city's park system, Yaojiang park is open to the people of the city for free. In July 2009, Yaojiang Flower Expo Park, upgraded from Yaojiang Park, officially opened to welcome visitors. From Yaojiang park to Yaojiang flower expo

For a long time, Yaojiang park built in 1992 has aging facilities, backward supporting facilities and low popularity. With the continuous introduction of new parks and green spaces, the passenger flow continues to decline, resulting in the idle and waste of valuable green space resources. Therefore, on the basis of the existing bumper cars, skating rinks, naughty fort and torrent Yongjin entertainment projects, the Urban Management Bureau demolished some old buildings and transformed them into flower exhibition centers and horticultural exhibition areas. At the same time, the gate building, road crossing, parking lot, lighting and entrance landscape of Yaojiang park have also started.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Urban Management Bureau, the transformation and upgrading of Yaojiang park is an important topic for the Municipal Urban Management Bureau to "introduce private capital and innovate the urban operation and management mechanism". The project aims to introduce private capital, participate in the management of public facilities, guide the transformation of citizens' leisure and consumption patterns, improve the quality of life, and provide a new garden environment for Ningbo citizens' leisure and recreation.

After the completion of the transformation, the "Yaojiang Flower Expo" will have the characteristics of public welfare, ornamental, popular science and amusement, but still retain the name of Yaojiang park.
