Root holding stone
Root Boulder (also known as "wood boulder", "root boulder", "tree boulder"). The root embracing stone is not a tree species, but a peculiar phenomenon that the stone is surrounded by a tree root and grows together.
origin
The reason for this phenomenon is that the trees grow in the barren mountains, the roots grow close to the rocks, and finally the stones are tightly wrapped, forming a stone wrapped phenomenon. Root artists have created some new and unique root art works with "root holding stone" (such as root holding stone root carving tea table, Yugong moving mountains, Nuwa mending the sky, etc.). They are intricate, naturally strange, wrinkled, thin, transparent and leaky, which is very in line with the aesthetic taste of literati.
habitat
The environment of trees growing on stones is very bad. Trees grow very slowly. It often takes hundreds of years to reach the level of being able to do rooting. Generally, it takes two or three hundred years. Therefore, such trees are very hard. In general, there are Taxus, chicken wing wood, called stem wood and so on. The most common places are on both sides of the stream in the mountains and on the barren and stony hillside.
