Lantau Link Visitors Centre
Located in the northwest corner of Tsing Yi Island, the Lantau link visitor centre and viewing platform is an exhibition hall in Hong Kong, covering an area of 19000 square meters. It was officially opened to the public in May 1997 with the opening of the Lantau link.
The viewing platform is equipped with outdoor exhibition and Visitor Center for components of Qingma bridge, Jishuimen bridge and Ting Kau Bridge. The visitor center is equipped with information models, photos and interactive games to introduce the bridge. From the spiral path around the cylindrical viewing platform, visitors can have a close or high angle view of Qingma bridge, Jishuimen bridge and Tingjiu bridge. The visitor center is equipped with a footbridge to connect the parking lot, and the public toilet is located in the parking lot. The visitor centre was initially managed and operated by the new airport engineering co ordination department. After the dissolution of the Department in 1998, the exhibition centre was managed by the Kwai Tsing District Office of the home affairs department. In addition, a large number of Bauhinia, Bauhinia, Rhododendron and other plants are planted in the visitor center, which is the place with the most rhododendrons planted in a single place in Hong Kong. In February and March every year, when ten thousand rhododendrons are in full bloom, it is a wonder. There is also a Ficus microcarpa over 100 years old.
