Mashezhou special area
The marsh Island special area (designated on 9 April 1999) is a 61 hectare special area located in the marsh island area of Tai Po District, New Territories, Hong Kong. The nature reserve is the fourth special area in Hong Kong. Mashezhou special area consists of mashezhou, Yazhou, Yangzhou and an unnamed island beside yantianzi.

Their formation dates back to the Permian and Jurassic. There is a nature education trail in the special area to let visitors experience the ancient Hong Kong landscape.
