Guilin key cultural relics protection unit. It is located in the north of Liuma mountain. A total of 6 niches, 23. It is mainly engraved with Buddhas, disciples, Bodhisattvas and donors. Niches 2-6 are well preserved. Among them, No. 3 niche can better represent the characteristics of Tang Dynasty statues. There are 10 statues in the niche, the main statue is Buddha, sitting in the middle, 1 meter high; the body is heavy, wearing a wide sleeve commendatory clothes, oblique pointed collar, simple pleats; the face is slightly flat, the cheek is full; the left hand presses the knee, and the right hand is raised up to make a statement; the body is quiet and serene, and the knot falls down on the platform Vajra seat.

Introduction to scenic spots

On both sides of the pedestal, there are Dharma protecting lions in the shape of crouching. On the left and right of the Buddha are two disciples of mahagaya and Ananda. They are round necked cassocks, facing the master and Fu, and standing together. JIAYE has a high nose, deep eye socket, gills, curly beard, prominent eyebrows and cheekbones, which is rigorous and prudent in shape; Ananda has a bald head and fat face, which is devout and docile in shape. There are two Bodhisattvas around the disciples. The right head Bodhisattva's face is plump and round, and his body is plump and healthy; his right arm is bent up against his chest, as if holding a brush (the wrist is broken), his left arm is drooping, carrying a clean bottle; his head is tied in a bun, and decorated with flower vines, which should be the characteristics of Guanyin. The right Bodhisattva is slim, slightly twisted, slightly inclined in head and neck, reserved and dignified, and graceful. On both sides of the Bodhisattva are vajras, with helmets and boots, high nose and deep eyes, and a serious look. Then on both sides were three donors, all dressed in common clothes, hands together and standing barefoot. Although the depth of the niche is shallow and the carving is thick, the shapes of JIAYE and jinganglishi are obviously influenced by the plastic arts of the western regions.
