Introduction to scenic spots

The total investment of Tang Guoan Memorial project is 63.6438 million yuan. The cultural relics on display in the museum are from Tsinghua University History Museum, National Library, Shanghai Library, Hong Kong YMCA and other places. Tang Guoan is the first president of Tsinghua University, a famous diplomat, educator and journalist. After returning from Yale University, he was ordered by the Qing government to set up Tsinghua School, a preparatory school for studying in the United States, in Tsinghua garden, west of Beijing. During the 1911 Revolution, he carefully guarded the school, and later extended to be the first president of Tsinghua School. Tang Guoan's relatively complete introduction of the western higher education system has been described as "moving a university from the United States". His motto of "self-improvement, virtue and material" has influenced generations of Tsinghua people.
