Former residence of Tao Chengzhang

Tao Chengzhang's former residence is located in xishangtang natural village, Taoyan village, Taoyan Town, Shaoxing County, Zhejiang Province.

It is a building in the late Qing Dynasty. The former residence faces south with brick and wood structure, three rooms and two entrances, covering an area of 407 square meters. The first entrance hall has a single eaves and a hard hilltop; the second entrance building is rebuilt with Tao Chengzhang's pension. The two entrances are separated by a patio, and there are four flat rooms in the East chamber. The first room in the south head of the wing room used to be a Dow study.

The former residence is a brick and wood structure building in the late Qing Dynasty. It faces south in the north, with two entrances and three bays, a patio in the middle and a side chamber in the East. It covers an area of 407 square meters. The second building was destroyed in a fire. In 1916, Tao Chengzhang's father, Tao Zheng, used the government's pension to rebuild it. At the end of the 1990s, it was completely renovated and opened to the outside world.

In the first place, a regular script horizontal board with the title of "former residence of Tao Chengzhang" by sun Fuling, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), was hung on the platform in the Ming Dynasty. There is a bust of Tao Chengzhang hanging on the door of the instrument, and the couplets on both sides are as follows: "Wanbian is the pioneer, nine death completes the restoration of ambition; Yuexian is outstanding, Wanliu pays homage to Guangci soul." This paper summarizes Tao Chengzhang's revolutionary life. The second room in the East is the kitchen and the sundry room. There are four flat rooms in the East chamber and the first one in the south is Tao Chengzhang's study.

The second is the building. The downstairs is a display of Tao Chengzhang's life story, which introduces the life of Tao Chengzhang's revolutionary doer through full and accurate pictures and objects. The upstairs is arranged as it is for people to look at. In the middle is the bedroom of the martyr after marriage, in the East is the bedroom of Tao Chengzhang's parents, and in the west is the furnishings of Tao Chengzhang's relics, including Tao Chengzhang's contact with the party, small suitcases used during the revolution and letters with friends.
