Qingpu District Planning Exhibition Hall, located in the new urban area of Qingpu, is designed by Jiakun architectural design firm. It was officially opened in 2006 with an exhibition area of about 1800 square meters. The planning hall is surrounded by pools on three sides, and the entrance road crosses the water surface, creating an atmosphere of "water town". The flexible use of traditional dark gray stone and glass curtain wall has formed a unique architectural form and post-modernism architectural style, making it one of the landmark buildings in Qingpu new town.

The planning exhibition hall is divided into four areas: the main model area, the four functional exhibition areas, the historical scene area and the virtual reality exhibition area. With the high-tech exhibition means of sound, light and electricity, we can have a comprehensive understanding of the future planning of Qingpu.

The main model area is like a bird's-eye view of the real map. You can see the superior geographical location of Qingpu, exquisite butterfly like terrain, regional planning and spatial layout. You can initially feel the urban form of Qingpu.

The layout of the four functional exhibition areas with dragon shaped walls shows the four characteristic functional areas of Qingpu, namely green industrial area, modern business district, leisure tourism area and ecological residential area. You can feel the bright future of Qingpu's "ancient charm, green corridor and clear water". The green industrial park will vigorously develop high-tech and high value-added industries, develop knowledge intensive and technology intensive urban industries, and create a green industrial zone that integrates into the Yangtze River Delta integrated development and dislocation competition and coordinates with the natural environment; the modern business district will accelerate the development of Qingpu modern business district and optimize the business environment from the perspective of serving the whole district, serving Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta Qingpu District has become a new highland of modern business and trade service industry in Shanghai suburbs; the leisure tourism area has actively used the advantages of local resources to develop leisure tourism, making Qingpu a characteristic tourism plate relying on the interaction of landscape, water and ancient of Shanghai international metropolis, creating the theme image of "green Qingpu, leisure home" and fully displaying Qingpu District Based on the east-west traffic axis, the ecological residential area fully develops the advantages of environment, humanity and traffic, speeds up the ecological construction, improves the quality of green environment, and strives to create a pleasant ecological residential area with strong regional characteristics.

In the process of promoting urbanization, Qingpu District has formulated the protection plan of historical features and put forward the requirements of feature control. The historical features area has fully demonstrated this. Here, we can deeply feel the profound historical and cultural heritage of Qingpu. Liantang ancient town, Zhujiajiao ancient town, Jinze ancient town, Chonggu ancient town, Baihe ancient town, Qingpu old town and Xujing Panlong town are mainly displayed in the historic area.

Virtual reality display area is an open experience and viewing area, with virtual reality interactive display, full screen video playback, etc., just like immersive. In the virtual reality area, real-time operation of keyboard, mouse and 3D controller (such as joystick) can realize the interactive roaming in Qingpu new town area with any viewpoint, angle and height, experience the environment personally and truly express the architectural style.
