Shuyin building

Shuyin building is located at 77 Tiandeng lane, Nanshi District. It is said that during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), Shen Chu, a scholar of Jiangxi Province, was built. His predecessor was Lu's reconstruction of Chunxuan, the inner hall of tomorrow's Sheyuan. Shen Chu, a scholar of Jiangxi Province, was invited to write a plaque.

Overview of Shuyin building

The Shuyin building was later purchased by the owner of the ship Guo Wanfeng, whose descendants have lived up to now. In the East, there are gatehouses, sedan halls and halls. In the west, there are inner houses, two entrance hall buildings in front and back, courtyard in the middle and side buildings on both sides. The features of this building are brick carving, wood carving, brick carving, instrument door, leaky window and other carved landscape figures, such as King Wen's visit to the virtuous, "Eight Immortals" mountain climbing, Phoenix wearing peony, squirrel grape and so on. Wood carving in doors and windows, Liang Fang skirt board, there are plum orchid bamboo chrysanthemum, Han Palace autumn moon, pavilions, double lion ball and so on.

History of Shuyin building

Shuyin building is located in the north of Narcissus palace. Shen Chujian, a Jinshi in Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of more than 2 mu, with a construction area of 2000 square meters. There are more than 70 rooms in the house. One to three entrances are the garden of the residence, including sedan hall, main hall, Hua Yu Xuan, cross wall, boat hall, stage, pond, rockery, flower garden, etc.; four entrances are the library; five entrances are the living room of zouma building in the shape of "mouth". The house is carved with beams and painted buildings, surrounded by 3.6-foot-high wind and fire walls. The door Fang has a stele with the word "ancient style is training" and a long scroll brick carving story picture of "Xibo Jichang? Xi visit Xian". The brick carvings on the left and right sides are respectively "Laozi riding a green ox out of Hangu pass" and "the queen mother of Zhou Mu Dynasty visiting the west". The figures in brick carvings are vivid in different shapes. In front of the building, there are brick screens between the East and West halls and the wing rooms. On the front, there are three stars celebrating birthday and eight immortals visiting the mountain. On the bottom, there are Phoenix and Phoenix singing. On the back, there are bats flying in the clouds. All of them are double hollow brick carvings with vivid modeling and fine carving. There is a plaque on the front of the house, which is entitled "Shuyin building". There are long windows on the ground around the courtyard. On the skirt board are carved pictures of "the lion roars the sun", "too many lions play with few lions" and pavilions, landscapes and so on. The main hall boat's Liang Fang, Dou? And Chuilian pillars are also carved with exquisite woodcut patterns such as flowers, flower baskets and Ruyi. Shuyin building changed its owner several times, and finally returned to Guo family. It was seriously damaged in the "Cultural Revolution".

The present-day owner of shuyinlou, Guo's family, was originally from Lushan, Longxi County, Fujian Province, and has been engaged in maritime trade for generations, traveling between Fujian, Guangdong, Taiwan and Nanyang islands. Family members moved to business ports, forming a network of buying and selling goods. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, Guo's family was optimistic about the position of Shanghai port. They sent Guo MENGDOU, a member of the family, to set up a ship and soon founded Guo Wanfeng. They purchased silk, tea, porcelain, cotton and other local products for export and imported sugar, pearls, coral, sandalwood, mahogany, ivory, shark's fin, bird's nest, etc. Later, Ruitai tea shop, Fengtai muhang, Changfeng silver shop and Wanyi bank were set up. At that time, he bought land and property, and built gardens and houses. He became a famous shipping magnate in Qing Dynasty and a hot merchant in Shanghai.
