Located at 356 Tianshan Road (exit of Weining Road 1 of Metro Line 2), Changning library is the largest urban library in Shanghai, with a construction area of 16000 square meters and 12 levels. It has a collection of more than 500000 books, more than 1000 kinds of Chinese and foreign newspapers and magazines, 1200 reading seats, international exchange and visit center, new book exhibition area, readers' leisure area, Chinese and foreign newspapers reading area, exhibition area Book borrowing area, youth book reading area, reference material reading area, multimedia book reading area, characteristic collection reading area, education and training center, multi-functional lecture hall, which integrates books, exhibition, education and training, and embodies foreign functions and digital features of Changning with scientific layout, complete functions and scientific development positioning concept, has become a hot topic Changning is an important information collection center, transmission center and spiritual civilization communication base. It was once rated as "Readers' favorite library" by the Ministry of culture of the people's Republic of China. It has also opened up a space for the development of "favorable time, favorable location and harmonious people" for this national first-class library to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with its counterparts all over the world.

Brief introduction of Changning Library

Changning is located in the west of Shanghai. As a foreign-related City, it has unique cultural geography and convenient transportation. Hongqiao Development Zone and Gubei new district are located in the region. One third of foreign consulates and 50% of diplomats' residences in Shanghai are located in Changning, with rich cultural accumulation, rich cultural resources and cultural atmosphere.
