It is composed of urban balcony landscape area, Lingshan Bay first bathing beach, Central Lake and citizen culture square, cultural exhibition park, Dalu river landscape bridge, etc. it integrates culture, leisure, sports, sea viewing and other functions. It was completed and opened in July 2012. It is famous for its leisure, people friendly, free and other features It's called City balcony.

In July 2014, the scenic spot officially passed the comprehensive evaluation and acceptance of the national 4A scenic spot evaluation group, becoming the third scenic spot in China to upgrade from 3a to 4A within one year after Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province and Wuyuan in Jiangxi Province. According to incomplete statistics, in 2013, the scenic spot received more than 2.2 million Chinese and foreign tourists, and more than 50000 tourists during peak hours.

At present, the city balcony has successfully held the World City Music Festival "Zui Mei Ling Shan Wan" large-scale artistic performance, China International "car group Ying Hui", Qingdao International blueberry Festival and China International blueberry conference, two Chinese college students Beach Volleyball Championships, "dream Ling Shan Wan" tourism season, the third Asian college students Beach Volleyball Championship, and the world bikini model competition A series of large-scale cultural, sports, business and social public welfare activities. The city balcony has become an important landmark of the new area which leads the city fashion and attracts the attention of tourists.

Features of scenic spots

The coastal part of "city balcony" is Lingshan Bay bathing beach. In the "comprehensive evaluation of satisfaction" organized by Qingdao Tourism Administration in July this year, Lingshan Bay No.1 bathing beach ranked first in the city. The bathing beach was renovated in March 2011 and completed in July. It has a natural high-quality beach of 1980 meters, covering an area of 285000 square meters, and can accommodate more than 100000 passengers per day. It is the largest natural high-quality bathing beach on the west coast. During the construction of the project, the original stone breakwater on the seashore was removed, the shoreline was retreated by 50-100 meters, and sand was dug out below 3 meters outside the shoreline and thrown to the inside of the shoreline to form the current beach. At the same time, the outside of the beach was treated with alkali, and all kinds of plants suitable for coastal growth were planted. There are 3 public toilets, 3 public changing rooms and 7 outdoor free shower spots.

From the bathing beach to the north, the central lake square, covering an area of 278000 square meters, is connected with it. It is composed of citizen square, waterfront square, children's Square and Central Lake District. Square pavement area is about 70000 square meters, water area is 82000 square meters, green space is 115000 square meters, which can accommodate 60000 people at the same time. At present, nearly 5000 large-scale trees, such as Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Paulownia fortunei, Ginkgo biloba, Sophora japonica, cherry blossom, Quercus mongolica, and nearly 1000 small trees and shrubs, such as Lagerstroemia indica and Magnolia, 378000 shrubs, and 126000 square meters of lawn and ground cover have been planted.

Covering an area of 400 mu, the cultural exhibition park is the permanent residence of China International "Automobile Group Yinghui". It integrates landscape, leisure, industry, exhibition, etc., realizing "multi win". In addition to the heating charge for the indoor shower room, the exhibition park, bicycle greenway, starfish square, beach volleyball area, sea viewing platform, open-air theater and other landscape nodes, as well as the supporting outdoor shower point, parking lot, public toilet and other functional places are all open free of charge.
