Landscape features

Water flows all the year round. And there are three natural waterfalls, the highest of which is more than three feet long. The water flows down like a snow chain, like a dragon spitting beads, splashing countless drops of water, shining in the sunshine. Due to the impact and accumulation of water, countless small pools of different sizes, depths and shapes have been formed in the ditch. There are 18 famous pools. The most amazing thing is that there are countless sprite like little needlefish that have been breeding for many years in this pool. They are pure and extremely flexible. It can be said that there is water in the pool and fish in the pool. Eighteen pools in the west of Beijing also got its name. In midsummer, you can enjoy flowers, birds, fish and insects in the canyon, listen to the sound of spring water, hang wire fishing and rafting along the Yongding River. Qingshuijian is one of the four peaks in Beijing. In the valley, there are streams running, with continuous four seasons, mountains and peaks, peaks turning back, waterfalls on cliffs and pools on gullies, forming the famous natural landscape of "three waterfalls, six sceneries and eighteen pools". In gukou, there is another kind of Landscape: the two mountains are like doors, going up the valley, one peak is three fold, and the mountains are all extremely steep; the strange peaks and rocks, the flying springs are fantastic, the stones are separated, and the sound strikes the cliff cave; the mountain walls are thousands of feet, birds and beasts are gathered, and the cliff walls are covered with vines and flowers. The six sceneries have their own characteristics, such as mountain danger, stone wonder, flower fragrance and bird talk. Eighteen pools are of different depths, and there are fish in the pools. At this point, if you go to the fairyland, you can see the Dragon Palace at the bottom of the pool.

In the Ming Dynasty's miscellaneous records of Wanshu, it is said that "qingshuijian is located in Yanchi society, more than 200 Li to the west of the county. From Anjiazhuang village across the river to the scenic spot, there is a bridge. The couplet of the bridge head column says: "the sky is a secluded valley, and there are waterfalls; the earth is a strange gorge, and wolongtan.". Gukou archway is inscribed with "Eighteen pools in the west of Beijing". Enter the mouth of the valley where the two mountains are like gates, trace the valley and go up along the stream. There are steep valleys, beautiful Springs and waterfalls, and many wonders. The three waterfalls of "Feiliu zhixia", "giant dragon spitting" and "Yinhe Luotian" are separated by several miles; the six sceneries of "turtle King protecting Valley", "natural barrier", "Shentu training son", "shuilian cave", "peak in peak" and "valley in Valley" can be seen one by one, which is fascinating. And the jade plate in the eighteen pools is disturbing. It's hard to count the number of pools, but eighteen are famous.
