Yu Youren's calligraphy art museum was built in Xi'an in July 2010. It is a folk museum with the largest number of Yu Youren's calligraphy works in China. The museum is located in the west of Jinyuan new century community center square in the east section of North 2nd Ring Road of Xi'an City, with a total area of 1100 square meters. It is composed of exhibition hall, cultural security management room, service area and other parts. There are more than 300 classic calligraphy works of different periods and more than 500 related books in the museum.

Xi'an yuyouren calligraphy art museum is a private museum registered in Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau and approved by Shaanxi provincial and Xi'an Municipal Bureau of cultural relics. The museum also actively studies and arranges Yu Youren's calligraphy works in its collection, and together with Sanqin publishing house, it has published a collection of Yu Youren's calligraphy works.

Yu Youren

Yu Youren (1879-1964), born in Sanyuan, Shaanxi Province, is a famous calligrapher in modern China. He is good at the combination of Wei tablet, running script and Zhang Cao. He first created "Yu Youren's Standard Cursive Script", which is known as "contemporary cursive sage" and "modern calligrapher". His works include Standard Cursive thousand character essay, you Ren Mo Cun, you Ren Shi Cun, etc.

Mr. Yu Youren is a veteran of the Kuomintang and a calligrapher, but few people know that he is a poet. As early as the end of the 1920s, he studied cursive script and devoted himself to standardizing it. It also established the four principles of "easy to read, easy to write, accurate and beautiful".
