Dayi Temple
Dayi temple is located in Zike Township, Baiyu county. It is a bon temple. It was founded in 1124 by langkaaron, and has lived for 35 generations.
"Dayi" is transliterated in Tibetan, which means "Moonlight". According to legend, Dayi langkajiabo, the living Buddha of jiansi temple, often has a flash on his forehead, which is like moonlight, so it is named Dayi. Since the founding of the temple, the living Buddhas in the main temple have practiced extraordinary Qigong in accordance with the Bon level nine Yoga method, so other sects dare not invade the temple, so they can continue to this day. The temple is located in the west to the East, with a main hall, which is mainly used for the statue of Pan Rao Grand View Master. The main cultural relics include a Book of the origin of Bon, a Book of commenting on the Pearl mantle of Bon, more than 100 other scriptures, 20 thangkas and 16 small copper towers. Every year, the "yongnai" Festival is held from July 15 to 20 of the Tibetan calendar. The whole temple chants sutras for six days. The temple was opened in 1985. In the early 1990s, there were one living Buddha and 25 Zaba in the temple.
