Former site of Bank of Communications
The former site of Bank of communications, located at No.9 Xiheyan street, Qianmen, Xicheng District, Xuanwu District, Beijing, was built in 1937. It is the representative work of famous architect Yang Tingbao. The building has four floors above ground and one underground. The facade decoration has the characteristics of the memorial archway in traditional Chinese architecture, with water brush stone facing, granite facing base, bucket arch and glass eaves on the top, glass door cover and sparrow cover for doors and windows.
The building was listed in the list of the fifth batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Beijing in October 1995.

In 2004, the building was announced as a designated protection area and construction control zone. The protection area is the building itself and the projection area of apron and steps.
