The origin of seven star stone

Qixingshi is a Zhenshi in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, which has been more than 470 years. It is said that when the Ming Dynasty established its capital in Beijing, Ming Chengzu (Zhu Di) wanted to find a place to worship heaven. One night, he dreamed that the gate of heaven was wide open and the Big Dipper fell here, so he built the temple of heaven to worship heaven. In fact, these stones are very common. In 1530, a Taoist said that the space here was not conducive to the throne and longevity, so he set up Qishi town here. The Qing Dynasty also added a stone to the northeast to show that they did not forget their ancestral home. Therefore, the seven star stone is actually seven big and one small, with a total of eight huge stones.

Present situation of seven star stone

Seven star stone used to be surrounded by a half person high guardrail. Many tourists often exercise here, which is not good for tourists to watch. After the reconstruction, the guardrail of the "Seven Star Stone" scenic spot was removed and replaced with low railings, the trees were partially adjusted, the trees and shrubs that affected the sight and landscape effect were transplanted, the high-quality and high-level cold season artificial lawn of 12000 square meters was laid again, and the imitation City brick and breathable brick pavement of 5500 square meters were paved among the green grass. After the completion of the renovation, the seven star stone will be fully exposed, and the ancient buildings such as the hall of praying for the new year, the corridor, the North God kitchen and the North slaughter Pavilion will be more magnificent.
