Old Beijing style street

Old Beijing style street is located in Wangfujing District, Dongcheng District, Beijing, China. It is a commercial center for displaying old Beijing folk culture. It is located in the south of Datian Shuijing Hutong, east of Wangfujing West Street, west of Wangfujing snack street and Wangfujing folk culture street. The old Beijing style street was officially opened on July 12, 2009. Wang Baoxin, President of Beijing Academy of calligraphy and painting, inscribed the plaque of "old Beijing style street".

Related introduction

In the East, West and north of the old Beijing style street, there is an antique archway with the inscription "old Beijing style street" written by Wang Baoxin. The North archway is in the south of Datian Shuijing Hutong, the West archway is in the east of Wangfujing West Street, and the East archway is in the west of Wangfujing snack street, facing Wangfujing snack street archway on Wangfujing Street. On the south side of the courtyard is the main building reconstructed from the old workshop of the former economic daily. The plaques of "Dong'an gate", "anding gate" and "Xi'an gate" are hung above the three passageways of the main building, among which "Dong'an gate" is hung on the East passageway, "Xi'an gate" is hung on the West passageway, and "anding gate" is hung on the North passageway. All kinds of traditional Beijing food, snacks and handicrafts are sold in the main building.

On the north side of the main building of the old Beijing style street, which covers an area of about 2500 square meters, there are white jade tripods and sculptures reflecting the old Beijing, such as "selling sugar gourd", "old shopkeeper", "Beijing Master", "Xiangzi and foreign car". At the west entrance of the old Beijing style street, there is an old tea shed, which reproduces the scene of old Beijing people drinking tea on the roadside. There are many old photos in the street, reflecting the old appearance of Chaoyang Gate, Dongzhi gate, Xizhi gate, Fucheng gate and Chongwen gate.
