Taoyuan view

Taoyuan temple is a Taoist temple in Fenghuangling, Haidian District, Beijing. It belongs to Quanzhen Taoism. Director Huang Xinyang. It was built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty and has a history of 500 years. At present, it is the first Taoist activity place in Beijing.

Taoyuan temple, formerly known as Miaofeng temple, is the first Taoist temple officially opened in Haidian District of Beijing since the founding of the people's Republic of China. It was built in the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, Liu Mingrui, the 20th generation master of Quanzhen Nanwu sect of Taoism, changed his name to "Taoyuan Temple". In 2003, Taoist Huang Xinyang, vice president of China Taoist Association and President of Beijing Taoist Association, presided over the restoration of Taoyuan temple. On April 6, 2006, it officially became a place for Taoist activities. The restored Taoyuan Temple attracts more and more tourists with its unique Taoist health culture, and has become one of the most distinctive and charming tourist attractions in Fenghuang mountain.
