Moxin mountain

Moxin mountain is located in Daishan, Penglai Island, East China Sea, Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. Moxin mountain (also known as Moxing mountain) covers an area of about 6 square kilometers. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on one side. It is the highest point of Daishan Island, yuepinggang, with an altitude of 257.1 meters. Moxin mountain is composed of Ciyun blissful temple, Xianzhi tea garden, Xufu square and other scenic spots.

Moxin mountain is located in the southeast of Daishan Island, 2.2km away from Gaoting Town, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side.

There is a wonder "white peak snow" on moxin mountain. Due to the island climate, it is often foggy in the morning and windy in the evening. In the middle of winter, sometimes there is occasional snowfall on the island. When the snow stops, it will soon turn green again. Only moxin mountain is covered with silver, which forms this wonder on the southeast island where there is little snow. Jile temple in Ciyun is a building complex of Pure Land Sect of Buddhism. It covers an area of more than 18000 square meters and a construction area of more than 8000 square meters. The plaque of the memorial archway reads "Penglai Fairy Island", which is written by Mr. Zhao Puchu. The temple was built in strict accordance with the architectural style of Jiangnan Zen temple. In the entrance of the mountain gate, on the left side is the release pool, on the second side is the Tianwang hall, on the third side is the Luohan hall, and on the upper side is the main hall "Sansheng hall". On both sides are the bell drum tower and the monk's house. Behind the main hall is the Sutra collection building, and on the upper side are the old nunnery and the Abbot's house.

The main building on the left side of moxin mountain is "Xianzhi tea house", while the main building on the right side is "Jade Buddha pagoda", with pavilions, forest of Steles and other architectural sketches. The whole building is solemn, rigorous and elegant. A row of walls in the temple are inlaid with 11 pieces of black marble to form a stele wall. The characters on each stele are carved in shade, then painted with real gold powder, and finally painted with three layers of raw lacquer on the stone surface. Therefore, the stele can still shine in the sun despite years of wind and rain. The content of the stele is "ten scenery poems of Penglai". Daishan, known as Penglai Fairy Island since ancient times, has formed "ten sceneries" as early as the Qing Dynasty. Many scholars have written poems about it. Here are selected ten sceneries poems written by Liu Menglan, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. They are: "dawn of Pumen", "afterglow of Shibi", "sail of Nanpu", "raging waves of Zhuzhi", "snow of Baifeng", "clear sand of Lulan", "spring rise of Shiqiao", "fish market of Hengjie", etc“ "Fishing mirage" and "fishing fire in qugang".

Moxin mountain is said to be Daishan Island, which is like a stone mill. Moxin mountain is located in the middle of the island and is the highest mountain in the island, so it is called moxin mountain. There is another way to say that the mountain used to be very high. If you can reach the summit, you can feel the stars in the sky. So it is called "morningling".
