Another deity that the palace mainly serves is Mazu, the goddess of heaven. Mazu, formerly known as Lin Mo Niang, was born in Putian, Fujian Province in the first year of song Jianlong (960 AD). She was a female fisherman. She believed in Buddhism since childhood, was good at doing good deeds, and was familiar with the nature of water. She often rescued fishermen and business travelers in the storm. It is said that when she was 29 years old, she emerged as an immortal on September 9 and rose in the daytime. She was called "goddess of heaven". Their noble morality brought benefits to the people and made outstanding contributions. For this reason, she built a temple to serve them and lived together for generations. Now she belongs to the branch of Baijiao Tzu Chi palace in Longhai City and Mazu temple in Meizhou Bay Island in Putian City. During the war of resistance against Japan, the whole building collapsed, leaving only the remains of the wall foundation. After liberation, overseas Chinese returned to visit their relatives and proposed to rebuild it, all of which were due to lack of funds. Since the reform and opening up, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and other people from all walks of life have encouraged us to donate it voluntarily, The project started on December 1, 2000 and was completed on May 23, 2001. Tongren and others worked hard to gather all the resources to complete the repair task, restore the old appearance and change the new look. Today, Yonghu Gongbei mountain is a popular belief and tourist resort.
