The origin of the predecessor

Jixi Coal Mine Industrial School

In May 1947, the Northeast mining area worker cadre school was established.

In April 1948, it was renamed Jixi mining area staff school.

In August 1952, it was renamed Jixi School of mining technology. In November of the same year, it was renamed Jixi coal mine technical school.

Hegang Coal Mine Industrial School

In December 1948, Hegang Mining Bureau technical school and Hegang Mining Bureau staff school were established.

In February 1949, Hegang Mining Bureau technical school and Hegang Mining Bureau staff school were merged to establish Hegang Mining Bureau staff technical school; in September of the same year, it was renamed Hegang engineering senior vocational school.

In May 1951, it was renamed as Hegang School of mining technology.

In November 1952, it was renamed Hegang coal mine technical school.

In July 1957, the cadre school of Harbin Administration Bureau was established.

Merger development

In January 1954, Jixi coal mine technical school was merged with Hegang coal mine technical school to form Jixi coal mine school.

In September 1958, on the basis of Jixi coal mine school, it was expanded into Jixi Mining College, which is affiliated to Jixi Mining College.

 

 

In February 1962, Shuangyashan coal mine school was merged into Jixi coal mine school; in April of the same year, Hegang coal mine school was merged into Jixi coal mine school.

In February 1963, the cadre school of Harbin Administration Bureau was merged into Jixi Mining Institute.

 

In August 1964, Jixi Mining College was merged into Fuxin coal mine college and Jixi coal mine school was retained.

 

In December of the same year, Jixi coal mine technical workers school was merged into Jixi coal mine school.

 

In December 1978, Jixi coal mine school was renamed Jixi Mining College.

In November 1981, Jixi Institute of mining changed its name to Heilongjiang Institute of mining, which was subordinate to the former Ministry of coal industry.

 

 

In 1998, the central and local governments jointly built the project, with Heilongjiang Province as the main management.

 

In January 2000, Heilongjiang Institute of mining changed its name to Heilongjiang Institute of science and technology; in May, Heilongjiang coal industry school and Heilongjiang Institute of coal mining machinery were merged into Heilongjiang Institute of science and technology.

 

In 2003, the main body of the school moved from Jixi to Harbin.

 

In April 2013, Heilongjiang University of science and technology changed its name to Heilongjiang University of science and technology.

 

In 2014, it became a University jointly built by the people's Government of Heilongjiang Province and the State Administration of work safety.

 

In January 2018, it was selected as the University of new engineering research and practice project of the Ministry of education

 

In February, the University was selected as a characteristic discipline construction university in Heilongjiang Province.
