Yang Zirong is a super reconnaissance hero. He is the life prototype of the novel forest sea and snow plain. Due to the wide spread of the novel, Yang Zirong has become a household name, which leads to the upsurge of looking for heroes. Finally, it is found out that Yang Zirong is from Ninghai Town, Muping District. For this reason, the hometown built a memorial hall to show respect.

Yang Zirong memorial hall is located in Muping District, adjacent to the famous thunder god temple.

Yang Zirong memorial hall is mainly composed of the main building of the memorial hall, Siyuan Road, Yang Zirong sculpture, memorial Avenue and other parts. It covers an area of 61771 square meters, with a total investment of 50 million yuan and a construction area of 4965 square meters. The museum displays Muping revolutionary history exhibition and Yang Zirong deeds exhibition.

Yang Zirong, formerly known as Yang Zonggui, was born in yujiaohe village, Wenhua street, Muping District in 1917. As a well-known fighting hero, Yang Zirong has experienced many battles and made many miraculous achievements. He has been awarded the honorary titles of "super reconnaissance hero" and "fighting hero" successively. His platoon was named "Yang Zirong platoon" in 2009 For the national "double hundred" figures.
