Dawashan Wetland Park

Dawa mountain is located on the North Bank of Jinkou Grand Canyon, Dadu River, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, with an altitude of 3236 meters. The peak is 1860 meters higher than the Shunshui River Valley in the East, and 2646 meters higher than the Dadu River in the south. Its relative height is second only to the world's largest table mountain, mount ronema, which is 2743 meters high on the guyala plateau in South America. It is also known as the three unique mountains in Sichuan as well as Mount Emei and mount Wawu.

Dawashan National Wetland Park is located in Yongsheng Township, Jinkouhe District, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, with a planning area of 2812.2 hectares. It borders Hanyuan County and Hongya County with dawashan, xiaowashan, maokeshan, suoyiling and laomercury mountains. The park has well preserved glacial valleys, icebergs and other ancient glacial landforms, forming three natural lakes, namely Datianchi, Xiaotianchi and Yuchi, and two peat swamps, namely ganchi and gaoliangchi, collectively known as Wudalianchi.

Dawashan National Wetland Park in Sichuan Province is located in Yongsheng Township, Jinkouhe District, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, with a planning area of 2812.2 hectares. There are five Lianchi (Datianchi, Xiaotianchi, ganchi, gaoliangchi and Yuchi) in the park, with an altitude of 1850-3224 meters. It belongs to the Dadu River system, a primary tributary of the Yangtze River. It is an important part of the ecological barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It was absorbed as a member of the "Yangtze River wetland protection network" in 2010.

Five Tianchi: the "five Tianchi" are distributed at the foot of the east side of Dawa mountain. From south to north, they are Datianchi, ganchi, Xiaotianchi, Gaoliang Chi and Yuchi, which are distributed in strips and connected as a whole. It is composed of five natural lakes around the foot of Dawa mountain, which are Datianchi, ganchi, Xiaotianchi, gaoliangchi and Yuchi, covering an area of 2610 hectares. Among them, the fish pond is the highest among the five Tianchi, with an altitude of about 2500 meters and an area of nearly 1000 mu.

In March 2011, with the approval of the State Forestry Administration, dawashan Wetland Park was listed as a National Wetland Park (pilot).

In August 2016, it passed the pilot acceptance of the State Forestry Administration and officially became a national wetland park.

Infrastructure

Since the approval of the pilot construction, the district has strictly implemented the requirements of national wetland protection, insisted on taking the construction, protection and management of Wetland Park as a central work of the district Party committee and the district government, set up a wetland park management organization, issued the decision on the protection and management of dawashan National Wetland Park (pilot) in Sichuan and other relevant systems, strengthened leadership and publicity, In order to improve the environment and quality, 79.86 million yuan has been invested in the reconstruction and upgrading of 45 km of roads in the park, 2 bridges have been repaired and strengthened, 12 km of power supply lines have been reconstructed, and 1 new communication base station has been built, so that the infrastructure of the park has been effectively improved. In 2016, another 3 million yuan was disbursed to repair a visitor reception center, 1.2 km of sightseeing walk, 2 sightseeing platforms, 3 parking lots, 5 sightseeing stops, 3 ecological toilets, 1 sewage treatment station, 107 signs and signs, 55 boundary markers and stakes, and 30 environmental protection dustbins.
