Hengdaohezi town is under the jurisdiction of Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province. Located in the west of the city, the geographical coordinates are 129 ° 02 ′ 08 ″ E and 44 ° 48 ′ 47 ″ n. There are 17 rivers, large and small, with total surface water resources of 397 million cubic meters. Hengdao river passes through the middle of the town from northwest to Southeast.

The Middle East Railway complex is the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units. It is an industrial heritage with more than 200 buildings all over the town.

Division evolution

The name of Hengdaohezi comes from the name of Hengdaohezi. Hengdaohezi was named "Hengdaohezi" because there was a north-south road crossing the river in the early years. Hengdao Hezi, located in the east of zhangguangcai ridge, is the only channel from Mudanjiang River to Harbin. It has a very important strategic position in history.

In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of ningguta. After the opening of the Middle East Railway, it was designated as a "subsidiary place" of the railway. Due to the importance of the place, there were important military and political institutions such as the railway negotiation branch.

In 1923, the railway negotiation Bureau was changed into Hengdaohezi Municipal Bureau after it was put under the jurisdiction of Dongsheng special region. During the period of northeast occupied by the Japanese, Hengdaohezi village was established, which was under the jurisdiction of Ning'an county. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was put under the jurisdiction of Xinhai County in August 1946.

In September 1948, Xinhai county and Wulin County merged into Hailin County, which still belongs to Shanshi district. In October 1949, it was changed into the eighth district and became the residence of the district government. In March 1956, Hailin county was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of Ning'an county. In May of the same year, the township was removed and Hengdaohezi town was set up.

In September 1958, it merged with Shanshi Township and was renamed Hengdaohezi people's commune. In October 1962, it was under the jurisdiction of the newly restored Hailin county. In May 1964, Hengdaohezi commune was divided into Shanshi commune and Hengdaohezi commune. In June 1980, it was changed into Hengdaohezi town.

The town has a total of 12 villages, including heshunqiao, Zhengnan, Zhengxing, Dongshan, Zhishan, Fumin, 22nd, qilidi, wulidi, Jianshe, Liushu and Daolin.

At the end of 1992, the total population of the town was 19700, including 10200 non-agricultural people; the Korean, Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 4%. The town government is located in the town.
