Gonggongping scenic spot is located in the southwest of qixingguan District, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, on the side of 326 national highway, 41 km away from qixingguan city. The total area of the scenic spot is 1718hm2, the forest coverage rate is more than 95%, the forest sea is vast, the forest types are diverse, and the forest landscape is gorgeous and colorful. Thousands of years of Ginkgo biloba, Pinus armandii and Cryptomeria fortunei forests have formed a vast forest sea, known as "summer resort and forest oxygen bar".

The karst landform in the scenic area is well developed, with colorful mountain streams, springs and waterfalls, and marvelous geographical landscape. Historical evolution

In 1962, gonglongping forest farm was established as a state-owned infrastructure pit wood base. There are gonggongping, Zhuchang and Guantun, Maoping forest protection site and sanbanqiao wood processing plant.

In 1985, a large amount of ecological resources were accumulated for the development of gonglongping scenic spot, and the state-owned forest farm of gonglongping completed the task of afforestation.

In December 2005, with the approval of the State Forestry Bureau, Bijie National Forest Park with gonggouping as the main scenic spot was established.

In 2008, in order to lay a solid foundation for more than 95% of the forest coverage in gonglongping scenic area, Bijie City took the lead in launching the reform of state-owned forest farms in the whole province.

Since January 2009, in order to protect the forest and ecological resources in gonglongping scenic area from damage, the government has implemented the full management of public institutions, which was the first in Guizhou Province and even the whole country at that time.

In 2011, gonggongping scenic spot was rated as national AAA scenic spot.

In 2012, gonggongping scenic area took the ecological environment, natural resource protection and tourism development as the basic strategies, and established a reasonable protection and management mode to deal with the relationship between ecological environment protection and resource development and utilization.

In 2016, in order to improve the quality and transformation, it took two months from planning to construction to build a new gonggongping scenic spot, integrating tea tourism, cultural tourism, sports tourism and agricultural tourism.

Tun Tianjing Tiankeng is about 300 meters deep, 400 meters in the north-south direction and 150 meters in the east-west direction. It is surrounded by cliffs and the tiangaodi is narrow, like a huge shaft. Leiyin Blind Valley is about 3000 meters long, 100-300 meters high and 50-200 meters wide.

The park belongs to the evergreen broad-leaved forest region of Guizhou Plateau in the north subtropical zone, with a forest coverage rate of more than 95%. The forest vegetation in the park is mainly coniferous forest and secondary forest. There are nearly 1000 species of vascular plants in the park, which is one of the most important species gene pools in Northwest Guizhou. The natural broad-leaved forest has a large area and concentrated distribution, the artificial coniferous forest has a wide distribution and good growth, and there is still a patchy bamboo forest in the valley. Pine, fir, bamboo, poplar, oak, Castanopsis fargesii, camellia, Rhododendron, Castanopsis mollissima, etc. have colorful flowers and leaves, various forest types and distinct seasons.

Since 2009, Bijie City will hold "Wumeng eco-tourism Cultural Festival" every year to show Bijie's ecological environment, natural scenery, folk customs and historical culture, red culture, national and folk culture connotation. Part of the series activities are held in gonggongping scenic area.
