Zizhu nunnery, located in Houhou Township, Qianzhan Town, Huilai County, Chaoshan, Guangdong Province, was founded in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), with a history of 500 years. The monk surnamed Xiao in Lufeng County is the founder of the mountain. Since the establishment of Yimi, it has a strong fragrance, which is admired and respected by the local people.

In 1657, the magistrate of Nanchuan County, Chongqing Prefecture, Sichuan Province, together with Mr. Yang Dashan and Mr. Wu Xiezhong of Fujian Province, came to visit Zizhu nunnery. After visiting Zizhu nunnery, he wrote an impromptu poem named "you Zizhu nunnery", praising Zizhu nunnery for its beautiful scenery. During the "Cultural Revolution", the jungle temple was occupied by factories. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, religious policies were implemented, Buddhist monks raised funds to maintain the temple, and normal Buddhist activities resumed.

Changchun Zizhu nunnery, located in dongjiawopu, Chengxi Township, was founded by shibenquan, the second generation of prison in 1941.
