Zhouluo Grand Canyon is located in Shegang Town, Liuyang City, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is located in the west of Lianyun mountains with an altitude of 1359.41 meters. It is the birthplace of Laodao River and a national AAA tourist attraction. The scenic spot is 50 kilometers north of Liuyang City, 70 kilometers east of Changsha City and 60 kilometers away from Huanghua Airport.

The cultural landscapes in the territory include tiefenping, Shuikou tower, Chenjia ancestral hall, Yanjia house, etc.; the ecological environment is good, and there are many animals and plants. The discovery of wild osmanthus community adds charm to the scenic area.

Main attractions

Guihua Gorge

There are 1026 wild Osmanthus fragrans growing on the side of the stream in zhouluo charming Valley and on the hillsides of both sides of the stream about 1km. They are long in the crevices. There are three varieties: Dangui, Jingui and Yingui. Professor Liu Linhan, College of life engineering, Hunan Normal University, said: "this group of Osmanthus fragrans is the first wild Osmanthus fragrans found in China." Xiang Qibai, director of Nanjing Institute of Osmanthus fragrans (visiting professor of French osmanthus Research Association), also believes that this group of Osmanthus fragrans is the first osmanthus fragrans forest found in China, and it needs to be studied whether this group of Osmanthus fragrans is the birthplace of Osmanthus fragrans in the world. During the national day, when the sweet scented osmanthus is in full bloom, in the charming Valley, all kinds of sweet scented osmanthus are in clusters, in clusters, colorful, gorgeous and extraordinary, fragrant for several miles, magnificent, just like being in a paradise!

Xianjian waterfall

The waterfall is composed of three falls, and the middle one is the largest and most spectacular. The drop is about 60 meters and the width is 6-10 meters. The scale of the upper and lower levels is small, showing a gentle belt and curtain belt, 30-35 meters long and 1-3 meters wide. There is a trough shaped deep pool in the middle of the lower two levels, about 10 meters long, 2-4 meters wide and 1-2 meters deep. When the water is dry, the waterfall is like a silk curtain. When the water is abundant, the waterfall is like a ribbon, roaring through the ears, which is very spectacular. Beside the waterfall, there are green trees and green bamboos, and the environment is very quiet.

Tianlong waterfall

The waterfall is about 50 meters high and 2-6 meters wide. The upper level of the waterfall falls down and there is a deep pool in it. The lower level is zigzag. The panoramic view is like a dragon falling from the sky, so it is named Tianlong waterfall. Standing on both sides of the mountain, the ancient trees are towering, and the scenery is wonderful. Visitors who have seen the waterfall think that the waterfall is comparable to Lushan waterfall.

Moon pool

This pool is located in the upper reaches of "charming Valley". It looks like two water tanks are connected. The water in the lower part is round, and the water in the upper part is round. There is an oblique waterfall pouring into the pool, forming a rotating state in the pool. It is said that there is a fairy in "charming Valley". Every August 15, when the moon is full, all the fairies are invited to gather here to drink and enjoy the moon, so it is called moon pool.

Route: start from Changsha - Changyong Expressway - go through Dongyang service area, turn to Pingjiang Rujiang Expressway (North, Pingjiang direction) - get off the expressway at Shegang toll station - take Yongshe highway to Shegang town. There are road signs.

Self driving

For self driving tour, you can choose to take Changyong Expressway from Changsha to Dongyang service area, then turn to Pingjiang Rujiang Expressway to Shegang toll station, get off the expressway, then walk along the main street to heles intersection, the tallest building of Shegang, turn right to sheda highway (14.3km in length), enter the road from Shegang to zhouluo, and then go straight along Boyou road to Zhangjiajie zhouluo Luo Grand Canyon Scenic Area. Pay attention to the roadside signs.
