November 13, 2009 is the 100th anniversary of Nanshe. The "China Nanshe Memorial Hall", located in the ancestral hall of Zhang Guowei, Shantang street, Suzhou, opened on November 13.

Suzhou Nanshe Memorial Hall

Nanshe is a cultural group that once had an important influence in modern Chinese history. It was founded in Suzhou on November 13, 1909. Its founders are Liu Yazi, Gao Xu and Chen Qubing. Under the influence of the alliance led by Dr. Sun Yat Sen, Nanshe advocated national integrity and made a very important public opinion preparation for the revolution of 1911.

On the basis of retaining the original ancient buildings as the main axis, the restoration project of Nanshe Memorial Hall added hall, pavilion and West Hall, thus forming the basic pattern of "two roads and Three Entrances". In front of the hall, the stone archway with four columns was restored according to the old photos. The planned area of the restored Nanshe memorial hall is 1500 square meters, with a construction area of 1000 square meters. All the rooms on the first floor will be open to the public for free for a long time as a patriotic education base.

Among the large amount of precious historical materials displayed in the Nanshe memorial hall, the most precious one is the memorial book that Mao Zedong took the lead and 70 leaders and scholars responded to Liu Yazi's inscription together. This is the only copy made by the Chinese Revolutionary Museum for this purpose. In addition, the museum also displays a large number of valuable materials, such as "Nanshe Congke", "biography of Nanshe characters", "Lize CI Zheng", and "preface to the three people's principles" written by Dr. Sun Yat Sen himself, as well as relics used by members of Nanshe such as Chen Qubing and Liu Yazi.

Shanghai Nanshe Memorial Hall

Nanshe memorial hall, located at 139 Xinhua Road, Zhangyan Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai, was established in May 2004. It is the earliest Nanshe Memorial Hall in China.

The exhibition contents of the memorial hall are divided into ten parts, which are "the contribution of young history, the popularity of martyrs, the vanguard of public opinion, the rejuvenation of the nation through education, the achievement of learning, the innovation of calligraphy, the pursuit of refinement, the inheritance of family learning, the glory of women, and the overseas fame", comprehensively reflecting the history of Chinese advanced intellectuals' participation in social revolution and various social and cultural activities.

Nanshe is the largest and most influential progressive cultural group in modern Chinese history, or a united front group. In the new historical period, how to rely on the advantages of social organizations to consolidate and develop the patriotic united front, to commemorate Nanshe and to study Nanshe has great prospects. In April 2011, Nanshe Memorial Hall became Jinshan united front education and training base.

This is also the former residence of Yao Guang, because Yao Guang is one of the leaders of Nanshe and was once the director of Nanshe.
