Leidongping

--Leidongping is located on the lianwang slope, between Baiyun Pavilion and the reception hall. The mountain is high and the wind is cold. It is famous for its strangeness and danger.

--Climbing from huayanding to leidongping will pass the largest alpine rhododendron reserve in China. When the Rhododendron blooms in May, there are red rhododendrons all over the mountains.

--"Thunder cave clouds" is one of the ten scenic spots of Emei. At the beginning of the rain, misty clouds curl up from the huge ravines. With the uncertain mountain wind, they change thousands of customs.

--The snow period here is longer than Jinding, and the snow quality is good, the slope is suitable, and a alpine ski resort has been opened up nearby.

Leidongping

From leidongping to jieyindian, you can see the rare flowers and trees Rhododendron. In winter, leidongping ski resort of Emei Mountain will also be open, and the opening time is from December to February.

According to experts' investigation, there are 29 species of Rhododendron in Emei Mountain and 12 species in leidongping mountain, all of which are endemic to China or Emei Mountain. We can see beauty Rhododendron, Rhododendron spinosa, Rhododendron Shanguang, Rhododendron spontaneum, Rhododendron rugulosum and so on. The flowers are gorgeous and have important ornamental and research value. In order to strengthen the protection, the scenic area management department has set up a 70 hectare Rhododendron reserve.
