On October 9, 2011, China's first fishing culture museum opened in southern Sichuan. The total area of China fishing culture museum is more than 2000 square meters.

The Chinese fishing culture museum, which is supported by this project, enjoys the reputation of "China's first" fishing culture theme museum. The museum's permanent function is to show the extensive and profound Chinese fishing culture, popularize popular fishing knowledge and cultivate people's mind.

Located in the peninsula of Shengzhong Lake orchard, the museum is a three story European framework building, covering an area of 5 mu, with a building area of 2000 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 1200 square meters. The exhibition contents of the museum include the cultural image of fish, the evolution of ancient and modern fishing gear, common fish specimens, appreciation of fishing poems, ancient and modern fishing cultural relics, physical collections, national leaders' fishing record atlas, fishing theme calligraphy and painting works, fishing video lectures, fish theme banquet and fish name snacks. With 496 pieces of cultural relics and objects, and more than 30 kinds of exhibition forms, the museum gives visitors a profound impression and good memory of fishing culture from different angles and levels.

The preparation of the museum is still in the stage of perfection and upgrading. The existing problems, especially the academic issues, need to be further explored. We believe that in the love of the vast number of tourists, it will be mature, perfect and brilliant, and make positive contributions to enrich the cultural life of tourists, build fishing culture brand and boost the prosperity of Shengzhong Lake tourism.

China fishing culture museum is located in Shengzhong Lake tourist reception center. In the exhibition hall on the second floor of the museum, there are many objects related to fishing. The bamboo woven fish basket and back basket are hung on the wall, and a steel fork for fishing is placed on the ground. The willow for fish and the fishing rod with peculiar shape are dazzling.
