Shangdetang

Shangdetang

Alias: Huang family temple, referred to as the former ancestral house. It was built in 1531, the 10th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty, and rebuilt in 1986. It is of brick and stone civil structure. The main floor is a two-story flat house. The land area is 350 square meters for the main house and 400 square meters for the subsidiary house.

The former ancestral house of shangdetang is located in the corner of Dacuo village, shennei township. Because three ancestral houses were built at the same time, they are called qianzucuo, zhongzucuo and houzucuo.

Historical overview

Zuyu is a place to remember the ancestors, and also a place for the ancestors to consult. The ancestral building of shangdetang was built in 1531, the 10th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty, and burned up in 1800, the 5th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty. In 1806, it was rebuilt according to the original site. During the reconstruction, there are still materials available after the fire. In 1986, it was repaired with original materials. In October 2002, together with zhongzucuo, houzucuo, wufutang and niandetang, they won the title of "Dacuo Huang clan ancestral hall group", the cultural relic protection symbol of Anxi County.

The management unit is the cultural relic protection management group, and the protection level is the cultural relic protection mark of Anxi County in Dacuo Huang ancestral temple group.

When renovated in 1986, the original building was preserved, including the stone of the hall, the four sides of the well and the floor of the well, and the stone of the pillar base of the hall. Zu Yu is an important basis for the new Chinese living in Fujian and Taiwan.
