Xitaijinaer Lake
Xitaijinaer lake is located in Chaidamu basin, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture; the lakeside is composed of Quaternary pluvial, alluvial, aeolian, lacustrine clastic deposits and salt chemical deposits.

Morphological description
The area of lacustrine chemical deposition in sandy dry salt flat is 110.0 km2, 35.0 km to the east of jinaer Lake in Dongtai. The two lakes belong to the same lake, and then separate into independent lakes due to Lake retreat. The water level is 2679.00m, the length is 18.6km, the maximum width is 13.0km, the average width is 6.77km, and the area is 126.0km2.
ecological environment
The lake area belongs to the arid and extremely arid climate of Chaidamu desert. The average annual temperature is about 2.0 ℃, and the annual precipitation is less than 25 mm. The lake water is mainly supplied by a small amount of snow melt water in summer. The density of the lake is 1.217, the pH value is 7.7, and the salinity is 336.33g/l. The contents of Li and B were 136.72 mg / L and 217.39 mg / L, respectively. The bottom of the lake is rich in halite deposits.
