About the park

It is located on both sides of Fuhe River and Ruhe River in Pinggu new town, involving 7 towns, 1 street and 29 villages. With a total green area of 11045 Mu and a total investment of 600 million yuan, it is the largest Riverside Forest Park project in Beijing. The project was approved by the municipal development and Reform Commission in September 2009 and officially started construction in June 2010. The park is planned to build dozens of micro topography, including two artificial lakes of nearly 600 mu, a music square of 14000 square meters, a flower garden of 1000 mu, and a sports park of 1062 mu. There are 315000 newly planted trees, 406000 trees, 283000 newly planted shrubs, 1037000 square meters of flowers and grass ground cover, 143000 square meters of newly built roads, 47000 square meters of site pavement, and necessary water supply and drainage, electrical and other infrastructure and service facilities. According to the principle of biodiversity, landscape diversity and combination of arbor, shrub, flower and grass, a multi plant, multi-level and multi-color ecological landscape forest park will be built.
