Dai garden in Xishuangbanna (olive dam)

Olive dam is named for its olive like shape. It is called "Menghan" in Thai. Menghan means the place where the cloth is rolled up. Olive dam is one of the main Dai inhabited areas in Xishuangbanna. The Lancang River crosses the Bazi center from north to south. There are more than 80 villages in the Pingba of olive dam. Every family is farming and growing fruit. There are rubber plantations and trees in the villages. When you look up from a high altitude, Dai wooden buildings and Buddhist temples and pagodas are hidden in all kinds of tropical trees. When you enter the villages, banyan trees, big green trees and other trees block out the sky and are lush, with grass and flowers on the ground. As the poet said: "one day as a guest of olive dam, night dream back to Dai garden.".

You can also take a bus at Banna passenger station and roll around all day. You can take a long-distance bus from Jinghong to Mengla and get off at olive dam. The ticket price is 9 yuan / person
