Sidu Chishui Memorial Hall

The Museum covers an area of 7710 square meters, building area of 3659 square meters, exhibition line of more than 600 meters, the appearance of Qianbei residential style. The interior exhibition room interprets the battle experience of Sidu Chishui with a new exhibition concept, vividly reproduces the great military victory scene of the Red Army's feint attack to confuse the enemy, Sidu Chishui and outstretched encirclement, reflects the great achievements of Mao Zedong and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation, and highlights the important position of Sidu Chishui battle in the history of Chinese revolution.

Sidu Chishui Memorial Hall

Located in Tucheng Town, Xishui County, Guizhou Province, Sidu Chishui memorial hall is a national patriotism education demonstration base, a national youth education demonstration base, a national defense education demonstration base, and a national 4A tourist attraction. In 2009, all the scenic spots were opened free of charge.

In September 2018, Sidu Chishui memorial was approved as a national second-class Museum by China Museum Association.

Main tour items

The name of Sidu Chishui memorial hall, inscribed by Zhang Zhen, former vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, is displayed in the former site of the headquarters of the third corps of the Red Army. The former site is a two-story building of Chinese and Western styles. The exhibition hall covers an area of 620 square meters and is divided into two parts: War history display and auxiliary display. In the history of the war, Chen Liexiang reappeared on the spot the glorious history of the Red Army's four times crossing the Chishui River under the leadership of Mao Zedong and others after the Zunyi Meeting in January 1935, and crossing the Jinsha River on May 9 to achieve the great victory of strategic transfer. It is divided into five chapters: the battle of Tucheng, the prelude of Sidu, the first crossing of Chishui and the reorganization of Zhaxi, the second crossing of Chishui and zazhan Zunyi, the third crossing of Chishui, Tiaohulishan, Sidu Chishui and winning by surprise, which highlights the "spirit" and "wonder" of Sidu Chishui. The auxiliary exhibitions include the special exhibition of painting and calligraphy on "the spirit of crossing Chishui four times and glorifying the old revolutionary base areas", and the restoration of the living quarters of Peng Dehuai and Yang Shangkun. There are more than 300 Red Army cultural relics in the museum.
