Badan Lake

Badan lake is located in the southern edge of Badain Jaran Desert, which is the gateway of Badain Jaran Desert. It is 92 kilometers away from Badain Jaran town and about 50 kilometers away from Yabulai town. The transportation is very convenient. The Badan Lake Group covers an area of about 10 square kilometers and consists of 13 lakes, one of which is a rare freshwater lake in Badan Jaran Desert. There are many sand mountains in the whole scenic area, and each of them has its own unique scenery. There are lots of sand here, and the sound is strange. The lakeside is full of green grass and trees, presenting a unique landscape of "southern China in northern Mongolia". The towering Sand Mountain, the passionate sand, the quiet and comfortable lake, the green grass like wetland, the dreamlike reflection and the simple camel give the "sea of death" a new life connotation.

Badan lake is the nearest desert lake to ekenhudu Town, where Qifu is located. It is also one of the few freshwater lakes in Badain Jaran Desert. Because of the beautiful scenery of Badan lake, it is like a bright pearl inlaid in the southern edge of Badain Jaran Desert, so Badan lake is also called "Baoshi Lake" by local people.

Badan lake is said to be named after a herdsman. It is said that long ago, a herdsman named badai entered today's Badain Jaran Desert and found a beautiful freshwater lake. He went on to go inside and found a desert Lake as bright as the stars in the sky. He lived there. Later generations named the great desert Badain Jaran Desert after him, and named the first lake he entered the desert Badan lake.
