DAAO fishing village is an ancient fishing port, located in the southeast of Dongping Town, Yangdong District, Yangjiang City. It is located on the east coast of Xingang, Dongping Town, Yangdong District, a famous national fishing port. Da'ao fishing village was located in Nanhai County in the Qin Dynasty and Hepu County in the Han Dynasty. It is historically known as "the first of six Aussies". It is a necessary port along the "maritime Silk Road" in ancient China. The fishing village has simple folk customs and gloomy fishing style. It has profound fishermen's cultural characteristics. Village profile

The existing historical sites in Da'ao include the guild hall of Da'ao chamber of Commerce, the bank, the gatehouse and street, the tomb of ten thousand people and so on. In the later period, the fishermen's Customs Museum and Guanyin temple were successively built. It is the only fishing village in our province that retains the original style of fishermen's cabin. The origin of the name of Tai O

Da'ao was originally called xiao'ao. It is said that it was later renamed by Emperor Qianlong. It is said that Emperor Qianlong, alias Gao Tianci, and his Qizi, met Fang Kui, a captor from Guangdong, in an inn in Jiangnan on Sunday. Fang Kui didn't know it was long live. After two liang of yellow soup, he boasted about his hometown of Dongping, xiaoaogang. When Fang Kui talked about the end of the thirteen lines, Sunday Qing, who was with him, was very interested and asked, "what is the end of the thirteen lines?"? In fact, Fang Kui knew little about the so-called thirteen lines. When he was drunk, he said casually: it was a small port called Aozi (xiaoaogang was also called Aozi at that time) on the southeast coast of Yangjiang. Don't underestimate such a name. It's a good place! Emperor Qianlong, who was listening attentively, was very disappointed and said casually, "I thought it was a prosperous place. It turned out that it was just a small port.". Fang Kui said: brother, I don't know. Xiaoao port has always been the port that must pass by on the maritime Silk Road. It's the first of the six Macao ports in Guangdong Province. There are so many merchants, but it's very prosperous. It's a pity if you don't go and have a look. Qianlong asked: there is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below. Is Xiaoao better than Suzhou and Hangzhou? Fang Kui laughs. It seems that you really don't know. Haven't you heard the saying "Xiao Ao makes money, Xiao Ao spends money, and don't go home until you come to Xiao Ao"? The prosperity of Xiaoao can be imagined.

That night, Emperor Qianlong tossed and turned in the Inn and couldn't sleep. He thought: what's good about Xiaoao? Fang Kui said it's better than Suzhou and Hangzhou? The next day, Qianlong went straight to Xiaoao with zhouqing, and decided to have a look. All the way to Xiaoao, you can see that it faces the sea with mountains on its back. The sea is blue with green trees. The scenery is unique. There are many sailboats in the harbor, many boats on the shore, and many shops. The owner of guangkelong inn is a scholar. Over the past few days, I have seen Emperor Qianlong and his two friends talk very well. They know that they are not ordinary guests, so they take good care of them. When delivering water to the guest room one night, he asked Emperor Qianlong to leave a treasure. Emperor Qianlong was in the mood, so he said, "OK, you'll come and get it tomorrow." The boss listened and said thanks again and again. The next morning, when the shop owner came to sweep the room, he found that the two guests had already left. When he looked up, he saw the word "Da'ao" on the desk. When he looked at the sign carefully, he could not help shivering. It turned out that the inscription was the emperor of today! At the moment, I knelt down to thank you. Then he rushed to the local Yamen and told them that the local officials knew that the emperor had arrived in person, so they built a archway in Aotou with the word "Da'ao" inscribed by Emperor Qianlong. From then on, xiao'ao was named as Da'ao. The news spread that the "guangkelong" inn had been prosperous because the Emperor Qianlong had stayed in it. Other inns in other places followed suit and hung up the sign of "guangkelong". Therefore, until now, many shops in Guangdong like to hang the sign of "guangkelong".

Fishermen's Customs Museum

Located in DAAO fishing village, it is the first fisherman Culture Museum in China and one of the famous museums in Yangjiang. The museum is mainly divided into four parts. The center of the museum is an ancient sailing model. Behind the model is a fisherman's wedding scene. In the scene, there are geese necessary for Yangjiang Festival and the famous shark fin (shark) in Dongping. On the left is a collection of many fishermen's production, life and wedding supplies.
